A Tale of Two Cities

The random number generates a ta!e of two cities.

Not my first choice, but I will persvere___ it seems this is an atypical dickens being an historical novel.  I suppose that the story is well known but as usual the precise details will be different to that that has been shown on TV orIn films

An aside biography of lytonn Strachey by Michael holroyd starts with a vet interesting preface

its that time of year again

This years reading theme was “the year of the indian novel” but how many read______answer none

So my next theme will include an attempt to read all Dickens in two years.  What order to start date of publication or my own preference?

I am going to read one at random, then go forpublication date.

NHS c25k

I am now on week 4 of the NHS running programme c25k that aims to get me (or anyone else) running 5km at the end of a 9week programme.

So far so good, except for the slight twinges behind my right knee.

I am pleasantly surprised at my progress, not having run since school – too long ago to mention.

I was envious of these 2 cycles – the freedom to roam

But just getting on the bike to commute is an effort these days – must try harder.

The Night Villa

Although this book starts well…after a while when the protagonists arrive in Herculaneum/Capri the plot loses focus.  More will follow when I complete the book.
